Description
The overall aim is to promote the use of, and maintain access to, emergency hormonal contraception in order to reduce the number of unintended conceptions amongst women of all ages living in Bury.
The Contractor is required to deliver the services detailed in this specification for clients attending for emergency hormonal contraception in line with the Patient Group Direction for Levonorgestrel 1500 microgram Tablet issued by Bury Council. Pharmacies are also to ensure that patients receive information and advice about sexually transmitted infections and how to obtain sexual health screening (see separate locally commissioned service specification for Chlamydia Screening).
