Description
Hampshire and Isle of Wight LPC has produced a toolkit to assist pharmacists in completing MURs on patients who have respiratory conditions.
The pharmacist will assess the patient's:
- inspiratory flow;
- suitability of inhaler; and
- inhaler technique.
Training will also be provided on using the patient's inhaler and a 2-tone device (if the patient used an MDI).
In addition, the pharmacist will establish the patient's:
- adherence pattern;
- ability;
- knowledge; and
- beliefs.
They will also establish if the patient is suffering from any side effects.
