NHS and Care Volunteer Responders (NHSCVR) is a large-scale, NHS-approved volunteering programme supporting healthcare teams across England.

This free service is delivered by Royal Voluntary Service and GoodSAM on behalf of NHS England.

Volunteers work alongside healthcare professionals offering vital non-clinical support to help streamline operations and improve both staff and patient experiences.

NHSCVR can provide volunteer support for pharmacies providing the COVID-19 Spring 2025 vaccination campaign. Volunteers are ready to help and can provide stewarding support to sites delivering vaccination programmes. Steward shifts can be requested now.
