Pharmacy First – targeting schools and nurseries

As children across the country settle back into schools and nurseries after the half term break and prepare for the festive break, it may be an opportune time to highlight to parents and carers that Pharmacy First is available for their children and themselves.

To support pharmacy owners, their teams and LPCs to engage with schools and nurseries, we have published some new resources:

  • Pharmacy First checklist – promoting the service to schools and nurseries
This checklist provides suggested actions that pharmacy owners, their teams and LPCs can choose to undertake to help promote the Pharmacy First service to their local schools and nurseries.
  • Template email/letter to schools and nurseries

  • News story
A template news story that could be used by schools or nurseries on their website or in their newsletter.
  • Brief news story on the service
A shorter template news story that could be used by schools or nurseries in their newsletter.
  • Template email/letter from headteacher/nursery manager
