Yorkshire & the Humber and West Midlands Pharmacy Owners: Book your place for our regional roadshows

THIS CONTENT HAS NOW EXPIRED

Whatever the outcome of the 2024 General Election, the next Government and its approach to community pharmacy will be critical for the future of the sector.

Pharmacy owners across Yorkshire & the Humber and the West Midlands are invited to hear more about what lies ahead for community pharmacy, and how Community Pharmacy England will be working to improve the outlook following the election.

Chief Executive Janet Morrison and her team, as well as Committee Members, are heading to Leeds on Tuesday 16th July and then onto Birmingham on Wednesday 17th July to outline the work they are doing and discuss key issues for the sector with local pharmacy owners (or their representatives). These regional roadshows will set out the political and public spending outlook, explain the current situation re. the CPCF, as well as outlining Community Pharmacy England’s strategy to ease pharmacy pressures and make the case for a funding uplift.

Part of a wider series of regional events, this is your chance to share your views and ask questions of the Community Pharmacy England team, as well as hearing how they can contribute to the ongoing work to get a better deal for community pharmacy.

Local independent pharmacy owners and Regional Representatives David Broome (for Yorkshire & the Humber) and Jas Heer (for the West Midlands), will also speak about their own experiences and hopes for community pharmacy.

The event agenda will cover:

  • The ongoing critical pressures in community pharmacy;
  • Work on the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework for 2024/25;
  • Our vision and strategy for the future of the sector;
  • How community pharmacy fits into the wider political and NHS climate;
  • How Community Pharmacy England operates; and
  • How you can input to and support our work.

Community Pharmacy England will meet with Chairs and Chief Officers from all LPCs in Yorkshire & the Humber and the West Midlands regions earlier in the day to learn about local context on national issues and hear any specific concerns.

If you are a pharmacy owner in these regions, please join us on the evening of 16th or 17th July. For events in other regions, please see our events index.
