Pharmacy Owner Event, East and North Midlands

Pharmacy owners and their representatives are invited to attend our upcoming regional event in the East and North Midlands to hear more about what lies ahead for community pharmacy, and how Community Pharmacy England will be working to improve the outlook following the election. This is part of a series of regional roadshow events across the country.
Chief Executive Janet Morrison and her team, as well as Committee Members, will set out the political and public spending outlook, explain the current situation re. the CPCF, as well as outlining Community Pharmacy England’s strategy to ease pharmacy pressures and make the case for a funding uplift.
Pharmacy owners will have the chance to share their views and ask questions of the Community Pharmacy England team, as well as hearing how they can contribute to the ongoing work to get a better deal for community pharmacy.
This face-to-face event will be held during the evening, after the team has spent the afternoon having discussions with LPCs Chairs and Chief Officers in the region. Community Pharmacy England’s Regional Representative, as both a Member of our Committee and the representative of independent pharmacy owners in their region, will also speak at the evening event.
Topics covered will include:
- The ongoing critical pressures in community pharmacy;
- Work on the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework for 2024/25;
- Our vision and strategy for the future of the sector;
- How community pharmacy fits into the wider political and NHS climate;
- How Community Pharmacy England operates; and
- How you can input to and support our work.

Timings: 7:30pm – 9pm, with doors open from 6:45pm when a hot buffet and light refreshments will be available.
The events are all free to attend, but you are asked to register in advance. Please note, attendance is for pharmacy owners only, places are made available on a first come first served basis.
Bookings for this event will close on Monday 8th July, unless we reach maximum numbers earlier.
For those who may be unable to attend their region’s event, we are planning to hold a hybrid session later in the summer. We will also be continuing to engage with pharmacy owners throughout the year via our regular polling and our attendance at numerous sector conferences, including the Pharmacy Show.
