Keep antibiotics working campaign
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has launched a Keep Antibiotics Working campaign to coincide with World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW).
WAAW is a global campaign that is held annually to improve awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and encourages best practice among the public, health workers and policymakers, all who play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of AMR. WAAW runs from 18th-24th November.
The UKHSA’s new campaign assets are available to support local campaigns* and includes downloadable posters, social media GIFs, short form videos and other materials.
The resources are designed to help amplify key messages on the responsible use of antibiotics using the campaign’s mascot, Andi Biotic. They are available to download from the DHSC Campaign Resource Centre website.
*Please note, this is not a mandatory campaign that pharmacy teams must participate in; however, the campaign materials may support pharmacy teams when providing messages about antibiotics, for example, during Pharmacy First consultations.
