New East and North Midlands Regional Representative

Community Pharmacy England is pleased to announce that Rahul Sharda, an independent pharmacy owner from Stoke-on-Trent, is the new Regional Representative Committee Member for the East and North Midlands.

Rahul joins the Community Pharmacy England Committee and will serve in this role until 31st March 2027, in line with the current committee term. To find out more about the role and responsibilities of a Community Pharmacy England Committee Member, please visit this page.

The East and North Midlands region covers Local Pharmaceutical Committees (LPCs) in the following areas:

  • Derbyshire
  • Leicestershire & Rutland
  • Lincolnshire
  • Nottinghamshire
  • Shropshire
  • Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent

In his role, Rahul will play a key part in ensuring that the perspectives and priorities of pharmacy owners across these areas are reflected in national discussions and decision-making, on behalf of all pharmacy owners in England.

Rahul takes up the role following a mid-term election process. This followed the resignation of Lindsey Fairbrother when she sold her business. Lindsey served as a Community Pharmacy England Member for three years.

Community Pharmacy England is initiating early engagement activity as part of its preparations for the next round of Committee elections. Due to take place in autumn 2026, these elections will determine Committee membership for the 2027–2031 term and play a key role in shaping future sector representation.

James Wood, Director of Member and LPC Support at Community Pharmacy England, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Rahul to the Committee as the new Regional Representative for the East and North Midlands. As an independent pharmacy owner, he brings valuable frontline experience and insight, and I look forward to him playing an important role in representing pharmacy owners across the region.”
