New NHS Healthy Choices Quiz
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and the NHS have launched a new campaign encouraging all adults to take the new NHS Healthy Choices Quiz. This health and wellbeing quiz aims to empower adults to take control of their health by making small changes day to day.
The quiz, which takes around 5 minutes to complete, asks a series of questions about an individual’s lifestyle. An overall score out of 10 and advice on how the individual is doing in each area is provided upon completion of the quiz. Individuals will also be signposted to personalised recommendations and a wealth of NHS resources including free apps to help act where it’s most needed.
Digital, social media and printable campaign materials are available on the DHSC Campaign Resource Centre website for pharmacy teams who would like to promote the campaign. Please note, this is not a mandatory campaign that pharmacy teams must participate in. However, the Quiz could be used, for example, to support the provision of advice on healthy behaviours following a Hypertension Case-Finding Service consultation or as part of a pharmacy’s Healthy Living Pharmacy work.
