NHS England webinar: Launch of national online pathway for headache care

NHS England’s Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme has launched the first national online pathway and decision-making tool for the care of adult patients presenting with headache symptoms, supporting pharmacy and GP teams to offer good headache management and care.

The simple format guides pharmacy teams through assessment, management and treatment options (where appropriate), based on national standards and best evidence. The guide may be of particular interest to pharmacists who are planning to sign up to the five prescribing-only pathways for Pharmacy First as migraine (low frequency, episodic, adults aged 18-63 years) is one of the five pathways.
