NMS: Change to monthly cap from June 2026

Following the announcement of the 2026/27 negotiations, a Drug Tariff update has been published to base the New Medicine Service (NMS) monthly consultation cap on 0.9% rather than 1.0% of monthly prescriptions.
This change is unlikely to impact the majority of pharmacy owners; however, pharmacy owners are encouraged to review the new caps, as shown below, so they are aware of the combined maximum number of NMS intervention consultations and follow-up consultations that they can receive payment for each month.
