Webinar on upcoming changes to Part IX of the Drug Tariff – 22 September 2026

Community Pharmacy England and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) will be holding a joint webinar on Tuesday 22nd September at 7.15pm to explain the upcoming changes to Part IX of the Drug Tariff.

Part IX lists all the appliances / medical devices allowed on NHS prescriptions in England. The Department and NHS England recently consulted on making changes to this section by developing new product categories and reviewing the current product listings in an effort to modernise Part IX. Representatives from the Medical Technologies and Innovation Team at DHSC alongside experts from our Dispensing and Supply Team will explain more about the upcoming changes and what they will mean for pharmacy teams; including:

• Summary of Part IX and background to the targeted consultation
• Plans and approach to Part IX re-categorisation
• Timelines for implementation of changes
• Impact of changes on patients, pharmacy teams and prescribers

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions during the event.
