MPs Invited to Future of Primary Care Parliamentary Drop-In
Community Pharmacy England is continuing its work to ensure that the voice of community pharmacy is heard at the highest levels of Government. As part of this, we are inviting MPs to attend the Future of Primary Care Parliamentary Drop-In Event on Tuesday 27th January 2026.
At this Parliamentary event we will be briefing MPs from all political parties about the biggest challenges facing community pharmacy and wider primary care. We will also explore with them how we can secure a sustainable future for these vital services.
The event, hosted by Helen Morgan MP, brings together key primary care organisations representing the backbone of the NHS:
- Community Pharmacy England
- British Dental Association
- British Medical Association
- Optometric Fees Negotiating Committee
- Association for Primary Care Audiology Providers
Primary care services provide essential healthcare to millions of patients every day, as well as acting as both a triage system and a safety net for hospitals.
Why this matters for community pharmacy
Pharmacies are under unprecedented financial and operational pressure, as highlighted in our recent polling and post-Budget analysis. With CPCF negotiations approaching, it is critical that as many MPs as possible understand the urgent need for investment and reform to protect patient access and prevent further service deterioration.
How you can help
We are asking pharmacy teams to:
- Invite your MP to the event using our MP invitation template below
- Share your experiences with your MP using our Autumn Budget 2025 briefing
- Promote the event on social media to keep pharmacy pressures visible
Briefing notes will be available at the event, and representatives from all hosting organisations will be on hand to answer questions. There will also be photo opportunities and suggested promotional content for MPs.
