New NHS.net Connect Launchpad homepage – rolling out
NHS.net Connect is replacing NHSmail, as announced previously. As part of this change, many community pharmacy teams will soon see a new NHS.net homepage called the Launchpad.
The move to NHS.net Connect introduces a refreshed look and some improved features. The aim is to make communication and collaboration across the NHS easier.
What is the Launchpad
The Launchpad is the new landing page you see when you sign in to nhs.net.
The nhs.net team explains that it brings key tools together in one place, including:
- Outlook
Your nhs.net email continues to provide a free, secure way to send encrypted emails, share large files, and collaborate safely across NHS services. - Microsoft Teams
Secure calls and meetings designed for clinical use. This includes easy scheduling and joining for both clinicians and patients.
The nhs.net team advises that “Microsoft Teams within NHS.net Connect provides a secure, compliant environment for virtual consultations.”
The Launchpad is being introduced in stages, so not everyone will see it at the same time.
What pharmacy teams need to do
- You do not need to take any action.
- Your existing nhs.net email address, login details, shared mailbox, and Microsoft Teams access will stay the same.
- Your nhs.net account will continue to work as usual when the change happens.
Support and technical issues
If you have technical issues, continue to use the existing NHS.net Connect technical issues and escalation factsheet.
