Upcoming changes to the MYS Portal
Changes are being made to the Manage Your Service (MYS) pharmacy portal, aimed at improving user experience. The new-look portal will be launched on Thursday 21 August 2025. Please note: the MYS portal will be temporarily unavailable between 7:00am to 8:30am on Thursday 21 August 2025 whilst NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) make the changes. The updates will make it easier for pharmacy teams to manage and submit claims.
What’s changing
The update introduces the following enhancements designed to streamline navigation and improve usability:
- A refreshed side panel: A redesigned layout featuring clearer navigation links to.
- The “Services” section – the new layout displays each service as a separate tile, making it easier to locate.
- The “Prescription Submissions” section for the monthly FP34C declaration.
- Status messages: A new yellow banner will display status messages at the top of the portal. This banner will provide users with information on any changes and support pharmacy teams with submission of claims.
- Archiving feature: Users will now be able to archive disallowed prescription items they do not wish to challenge to help keep claims organised.
- An updated referred-backs section: A tidier layout with expandable sections to separate information for referred-back items.
- Help text will be displayed alongside free-text fields where the required missing information (e.g. product name) must be submitted.
- Prescription items will be archived automatically after the pharmacy owners have been paid.
What’s staying the same
No changes are being made to:
- the URL for accessing the MYS portal
- the claim submission window
- the pharmacy or staff MYS login credentials
The NHSBSA has sent out an email to all pharmacies showing images of the new-look portal to help pharmacy teams see some of the MYS changes coming in from 21 August.
No action is required from pharmacy teams at this stage. NHSBSA will notify users via email once the updated portal is live.
