Emergency contraception and the PCS on-demand webinar

Community Pharmacy England held a webinar on Thursday 9th October to discuss the recent changes to the Pharmacy Contraception Service (PCS).
The key updates to the service include the addition of oral emergency contraception and the expanded role of pharmacy technicians.
During the session, Alastair Buxton, our Director of NHS Services, and David Onuoha, Service Development Manager, were joined by Kirsty Armstrong, Senior Policy Lead in the Clinical Pharmacy Strategy Team at NHS England. Kirsty led the implementation of the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service and provided valuable insights into the changes ahead of the scheduled implementation date.
The presenters also highlighted the guidance and resources available to support pharmacy teams in adapting to the updated service.
