2025 Community Pharmacy England Workshops

Ahead of negotiations on the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) for 2026/27 and beyond, Community Pharmacy England is keen to discuss pressing issues and the future of the sector with pharmacy owners and LPCs.

All pharmacy owners and their representatives are therefore invited to attend our regional ‘Future of Pharmacy’ workshops to discuss what next for community pharmacy with us. The workshops will be held through July, with one in each NHS region, and pharmacy owners can attend any of these events.

The workshop discussions will feed into Community Pharmacy England’s priorities for the 2026/27 CPCF negotiations and beyond, building on our previous Committee polling and reflecting on the recent CPCF settlement for this year. These face-to-face events will be held during the evening, after the team has spent the afternoon having discussions with LPCs Chairs and Chief Officers in each region.

Taking place through July – shortly after the NHS 10-Year Health Plan and Government Spending Review are expected to conclude – this is a critical time for community pharmacy and it is vital that we focus on the future, including looking at negotiating priorities to further leverage community pharmacy’s position, in line with our wider strategy for the sector.

Chief Executive Janet Morrison and her team, accompanied by Committee Members, want to talk to pharmacy owners about the impact of the CPCF settlement for 2025/26, the challenges they are continuing to face, and the approaches they might want us to take with policymakers for the future. The focus of the workshops will be sharing of views, and joint problem-solving, and attendees will have lots of opportunity to ask questions of the team and to debate the differing paths the sector could take.

Community Pharmacy England’s Regional Representatives, as both Members of our Committee and the representatives of independent pharmacy owners in their regions, will also be at their local workshops.

The events are a chance to feed directly into Community Pharmacy England’s planning processes and work with us to map out a clearer way forward for the sector, as well as to discuss the many issues that matter to you and the future.

The topics for discussion will include:

  • The impact of the CPCF settlement for 2025/26;
  • Challenges community pharmacies continue to face;
  • Pharmacy’s place in the NHS 10-Year Health Plan;
  • Preparations for 2026/27 negotiations; and
  • How best to support community pharmacies to plan for the future.

These events are part of our ongoing sector engagement programme which aims to strengthen transparency and communication with pharmacy owners.

Save your space

Please see below for a list of our regional workshops. All events will be held from 8pm -9.30pm, with doors open from 7pm when a hot buffet and light refreshments will be available, over which you are encouraged to engage with and ask questions of the Community Pharmacy England team.

The events are all free to attend, but you are asked to register in advance. Please note, attendance is for pharmacy owners and their representatives, and places are available on a first come first served basis.

Pharmacy owners are free to register for any event – including in a neighbouring region if that is preferred. For those who may be unable to go to an in-person workshop, we will be continuing to engage with pharmacy owners throughout the year via our regular polling and our attendance at conferences including the Pharmacy Show in October.
