As PSNC informed contractors in May 2021, the 2021/22 Community Pharmacy Assurance Framework (CPAF) screening questionnaire will soon be available for completion, and PSNC has now published guidance to assist with its completion.
Community pharmacy contractors are required to complete the questionnaire between Monday 28th June 2021 and midnight on Saturday 24th July 2021 via the Manage Your Service (MYS) Portal. Pharmacies should receive information and instructions on how to complete the screening questionnaire either via email from the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) or from their own Head Office in the week commencing 21st June 2021.
Completion of CPAF became a requirement of the Terms of Service following the introduction of new NHS regulations laid in October 2020. Level 1 and 2 is the minimum standard expected to demonstrate general compliance.
There are 10 active questions to complete:
- Two are repeats from the previous questionnaire;
- Five have been amended; and
- Three are new questions.
Most of the amendments recognise Infection Prevention Control measures introduced since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
PSNC has written a briefing to help contractors with this year’s CPAF screening questionnaire. It explains the changes for 2021/22 and provides detailed guidance for each question.

Any contractor who has not received details of the questionnaire by Tuesday 29th June 2021 is advised to contact NHSBSA by emailing nhsbsa.cpaf@nhs.net
