Extended FP34C submission deadline for prescriptions dispensed in December 2025
With New Year’s Day (1 January 2026) occurring in the first five days of the FP34C submission window, pharmacy owners will have an extra day, until the end of 6 January 2026, to submit their December FP34Cs using the Manage Your Service (MYS) portal and to dispatch their prescription bundle to the relevant pricing division at the NHSBSA.
Please note the requirement to submit electronic Claim Notification (CN) messages or Electronic Reimbursement Endorsement Messages (EREMs) within the first 5 days of the following month remains unchanged. To avoid any delays to payment for electronic prescriptions dispensed in December (Dispense Notification messages submitted by 31 December 2025), pharmacy owners must continue to submit the corresponding CN messages or EREMs no later than the 5 January 2026.
The extended submission deadline applies in any month where one or more Bank holiday occurs during the first five days of the month. In these months, the earlier advance payment date will remain as four working days from the extended submission/dispatch deadline of the 6th of the month. Pharmacies that submit their FP34C declaration through MYS no later than the 6 January 2026 will secure access to earlier advance payments on 12 January 2026. Those who submit their December FP34C figures late through MYS (between 7-23 January) will NOT receive any earlier advance payments but instead will receive their advance payments in accordance with the normal payment timetable i.e. on 31 January 2026. To view an updated payment timetable, please see a link to our Monthly Payments page.
As part of our Funding & Reimbursement Shorts series, Community Pharmacy England’s Drug Tariff and funding experts have produced a video guide on the end-of-month submission process. Pharmacy teams must declare the month’s dispensing activity by completing the FP34C form via the Manage Your Service (MYS) portal. It is essential that the information entered is accurate and submitted on time to secure the early advance payment. Late submission of the FP34C form can result in payment delays and negatively impact pharmacy cash flow.
To avoid any administrative charges of £25 for late submission of prescription forms, pharmacy owners must also dispatch their prescription bundle to the relevant pricing division at the NHSBSA no later than 6 January 2026. Community Pharmacy England’s briefing titled ‘Administrative charges for late submission of prescription forms‘ provides guidance for pharmacy teams on correct end of month submission processes and information regarding how the £25 deduction for late submissions is administered by the NHSBSA.
