Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a medicine supply notification for Humalog® (insulin lispro) 100units/ml solution for injection 10ml vials

Tier 2 – medium impact

Date of issue: 18th June 2024

  • Humalog® (insulin lispro) 100units/ml 10ml vials will be out of stock from early-June 2024 until early July 2024.
  • NovoRapid® and Trurapi® (insulin aspart) 100units/ml 10ml vials remain available.
  • Admelog® and Lyumjev® (insulin lispro) 100units/ml 10ml vials remain available, however cannot support an increase in demand.
  • Fiasp® (insulin aspart) 100units/ml 10ml vials remain available, however cannot support an increase in demand
  • Humalog® 100units/ml 3ml cartridges and Humalog KwikPen® and Junior KwikPen® 100 units/ml 3ml pre-filled pens remain available and can support increased demand.

A copy of this medicine supply notification, including further information, has been sent to all pharmacy NHS email addresses.

DHSC and NHSE/I have now launched an online Medicines Supply Tool, which provides up to date information about medicine supply issues. The contents of these MSNs can now be viewed on the Tool.

The Tool also details any changes to resupply dates and updates to the entries.
