New CPPE Empowering pharmacy technicians to provide services workshop
The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) has launched a new workshop designed to equip pharmacy technicians with the competence and confidence to safely supply or administer medicines under Patient Group Directions (PGDs).
The two-hour face-to-face workshop, which will be held at various locations throughout England, develops the practical skills needed to apply PGD frameworks, deliver high‑quality consultations and recognise when referral is appropriate.
Highly interactive and scenario‑based, the programme enables pharmacy technicians to practise real‑world consultations, explore potential challenges and share solutions with peers. It also supports the development of local networks, helping teams work collaboratively to address health inequalities.
