Pharmacy IT workstreams update published as IT group meets
Community Pharmacy England has released an IT bulletin update ahead of the Community Pharmacy IT Group (CP ITG) meeting for its Autumn meeting.
Recent developments include:
- Community pharmacy IT market engagement: NHS England has launched market engagement with pharmacy IT suppliers from 1st September until 20th October. This will open up the national clinical services IT supplier market to provide more IT choice and capability to pharmacists across England. Read more.
- NHS App: Autumn 2025 pilot for NHS App medicine readiness push notifications
- Scan-to-shelf technologies
- Pharmacy services IT changes: Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) 2025/26 Autumn IT changes
Get involved
- Be an early pilot user of the NHS App medicines readiness push notifications: Community pharmacy teams are encouraged to take part in a new Autumn 2025 pilot aimed at improving the prescription tracking experience for patients using the NHS App. The pilot is to enhance the experience of patients who use the NHS App to manage their prescriptions. And test medicine readiness NHS App notifications (also to be discussed at the meeting). To take part in the pilot, complete the Expression of Interest Form.
