RPS publishes Vision for Pharmacy Professional Practice in England

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has published a ten-year vision for the future of pharmacy professional practice in England.

The vision, which was co-produced by The King’s Fund, explores how pharmacy teams in all care settings can support improved care for patients and help to address the many health challenges facing the country. It calls for the total integration of pharmacy professionals across the newly developed health and care systems, a comprehensive workforce strategy for the sector, and better use of data and research to improve patient outcomes.

PSNC welcomes the publication of the RPS’ Vision and believes the experience that The King’s Fund has gained working on this and talking to pharmacy professionals will prove extremely valuable as our project with them and Nuffield Trust to develop our vision and strategic options for the sector gathers pace.
