Share your views on pharmacy’s role in improving oral health
Pharmacy teams are invited to participate in a research study which aims to understand the key aspects of oral health care, from a community pharmacy perspective, and the areas that are the most challenging to manage.
This study, which is being organised by the University of Leeds, is open to all community pharmacy staff, but the researchers are keen to obtain the views from medicines counter assistants, who are often the first point of contact with patients.
The brief survey should take around 5-10 minutes to complete and includes questions about oral health conditions that pharmacy team members commonly encounter in their daily role and the challenges they face when dealing with them. Answers to the survey are anonymous and participants will not be identifiable.
The results of the survey will then be used to assist with developing a programme of research that supports community pharmacy staff to give appropriate advice and signpost people presenting with oral health conditions or problems to the appropriate services.
