Volunteer: Join the pharmacy cybersecurity support pilot
The Cybersecurity Unit at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is launching a pilot study to explore the benefits of enhanced cybersecurity support for community pharmacies. This initiative follows a recent sector-wide cyber survey, which highlighted the need for greater support. The pilot is being delivered in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Community Pharmacy England.
Why Participate?
Pharmacy teams taking part in the pilot will receive a structured support package and help shape a future model for sector-wide cybersecurity support. Key benefits include:
- Boosting staff confidence in identifying, responding to, and reporting cyber incidents
- Raising awareness of common cyber threats and their impact on pharmacy operations
- Access to free digital NCSC tools and resources
- Opportunities for peer learning and sharing of best practices
- Connections with local cybersecurity experts and key stakeholders
- Measuring improvements in cyber hygiene and resilience across participating sites
