Yorkshire and North Eastern Pharmacy Owners: Book on your local Future of Pharmacy workshop
With the conclusion of the NHS 10-Year Health Plan imminent, this is a critical time for community pharmacy and it is important that we focus on the future, including looking at negotiating priorities to further leverage community pharmacy’s position.
Pharmacy owners across Yorkshire and the Humber and the North East are invited to ‘Future of Pharmacy’ workshop events to discuss the potential next steps for community pharmacy, inputting into Community Pharmacy England’s planning processes and working together to map a way forward for the sector.
Chief Executive Janet Morrison and her team, accompanied by Committee Members, are heading to Gomersal and Chester Le Street to talk about pressing issues and the future with local pharmacy owners (or their representatives). These regional workshops will discuss the impact of the CPCF settlement for 2025/26, the ongoing challenges for community pharmacies, and give attendees the opportunity to consider the approaches they might want us to take with policymakers.
Part of a wider series of workshops, this is your chance to share your views and feed directly into Community Pharmacy England’s priorities for the 2026/27 CPCF negotiations and beyond, as well as discussing the many issues that matter to you and the future.
Local independent pharmacy owners and Regional Representatives, David Broome and Sami Hanna, will be on hand to listen into discussions and share their ambitions for the sector.
The topics for discussion will include:
- The impact of the CPCF settlement for 2025/26;
- Challenges community pharmacies are continuing to face;
- Pharmacy’s place in the NHS 10-Year Health Plan;
- Preparations for 2026/27 negotiations; and
- How best to support community pharmacies to plan for the future.
Community Pharmacy England will meet with Chairs and Chief Officers from all LPCs in Yorkshire and the Humber and the North East earlier in the day to hear more about the local context on national issues and hear specific concerns.
If you are a pharmacy owner in these regions (or one nearby), please join us on the evening of 1st and 2nd July. For workshops in other regions, please see our events index. (Note, pharmacy owners are free to attend a neighbouring region’s event if it is easier for them to attend.)
