Description
Lincolnshire Community Health Services (LCHS) Trust are commissioned to deliver an Integrated Sexual Health (ISH) service. This responsibility extends to include emergency contraception with the intended outcome being to reduce the risk of unplanned pregnancy.
To achieve this LCHS is seeking to improve the sexual health of young people through access to ISHSs. Pharmacy based services form part of this provision and contribute to achieving outcomes on preventing unplanned pregnancies and reducing under-18 conception rates. Accessing such services also provides an opportunity to encourage and refer for engagement in ongoing contraception and sexual health services.
