LPC negotiating training

22nd January 2025 10:30am-3:30pm

Hosier Lane

We are working with PA Consulting to offer LPC representatives the opportunity to take part in negotiating training. Earlier this year, PA Consulting ran a series of successful negotiation training sessions for our Committee members, which were extremely valuable and now we want to extend to all LPCs at no direct cost to you.

PA Consulting is an independent consultancy with extensive experience working across Government and advising on policy making and investment strategy. They will run interactive sessions, which will likely include segments on negotiation psychology theory, negotiation process theory, practical application, followed by an exercise rehearsal for the in-person meeting.

It will be shaped for LPCs, including a focus on the local NHS and Local Government to recognise your important role in negotiating pharmacy services with local commissioners, among others, and the challenges that this brings especially at a time of heightened financial pressure across many local systems.

This is aimed at LPC employees involved in day-to-day negotiations, so probably best suited for LPC Chief Officers, however for your LPC to decide. One place will be available per LPC. After registration and before the event, we will send a survey to understand the elements that are of most (and least) interest to attendees, so that we can work with PA to tailor the emphasis of the session accordingly, I will also need a few Chief Officers to have a more detailed conversation to help shape the session, so please let me know if you are interested in this.

If you would like to attend, please sign up here.
