As part of the major review and reform of pharmacy education and training, Health Education England (HEE) is working to improve access and is initially running an engagement exercise to determine how best to continue to shape professional education.
HEE has commissioned Verve Communications to hold digital workshops and interviews to discuss experiences of pharmacy training. The workshops will have a focus on equality and inclusion and aim to ensure that the diverse voices of pharmacy students and foundation trainees will help shape the future of pharmacy education and professional training.
Pharmacy undergraduates, foundation trainees or recently qualified pharmacy professionals from the following backgrounds or with lived experience are invited to attend:
- Students and trainees from Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities; and
- Students and trainees experiencing potential barriers e.g., disabilities, sensory impairments or mental ill-health; LGBTQ+ students and trainees; those from disadvantaged backgrounds; people who began training as mature students.
The online workshops will take place between 12th-29th April 2022.
