Honouring Black History Month and EDI
As we celebrate Black History Month, we recognise the important contributions of Black colleagues across our sector. This month honours Black history, achievements and experiences, but it has also provided us a time to reflect and reaffirm our dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
Our Chief Executive Janet Morrison said:
“At Community Pharmacy England, we have been marking Black History Month alongside many of our colleagues across the sector. We especially value the contributions and experiences of our Black colleagues in community pharmacy, who continue to play a vital role in supporting the sector, despite the challenges faced by many pharmacy teams and pharmacy owners across the country.
While we celebrate, this has also been a chance for us to reflect on how we can further strengthen our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. We’ll continue to ensure our communications reflect the diversity of our sector at every opportunity. But we know it’s not just about recognising diversity but also about pushing for a sector where everyone feels included and supported. We will continue supporting efforts and initiatives that push for real progress toward equity and inclusion within our sector.”
