THIS CONTENT HAS NOW EXPIRED

Community pharmacy owners are reminded, that the incentive fee payable for reaching the year-5 specified ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) threshold for the Hypertension Case-Finding Service ends on 31st March 2024.

Pharmacy owners who have been working to meet the threshold of 20 ABPM checks for 2023/24 to be eligible for the incentive fee, must ensure that any ABPM check provisions are claimed within one month of, and no later than three months from the claim period for the chargeable activity provided to ensure they are paid the appropriate incentive fee.

The incentive fee has been in place since the commencement of the service in October 2021 and was agreed across Years 3, 4 and 5 of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework 5-year agreement to help pharmacy owners to fund the capital cost of purchasing a suitable clinic BP meter and an ABPM device.

As the incentive fees are only available for thresholds achieved up to 31st March 2024, no further incentive payments will be made after this period.
