LFD service: updated service spec
The service specification for the Lateral flow device tests supply service for patients potentially eligible for COVID-19 treatments (LFD service) has had some minor amendments made to it following discussions between Community Pharmacy England and NHS England.
The changes to the specification have been made to make the eligibility criteria section clearer to understand, as well as emphasising that patients eligible for the service do not need to have symptoms of COVID-19 to obtain a free box of LFD test kits under the service. Wherever possible, eligible patients should obtain LFD tests via the service in advance of developing symptoms.
The service page on our website has been updated to reflect the changes and updated resources have also been published for use by pharmacy owners.

LFD service NHS service finder
A new service finder has been launched on the NHS website that lets members of the public and healthcare professionals search for a pharmacy that offers the LFD service.
The service finder can be searched using a postcode, with the nearest pharmacy listed first.
Pharmacy owners are reminded to ensure that they have included the service in their NHS Profile Manager where they provide the service.
