Pharmacy First – starting to prepare

Following on from the publication of the service specification, clinical pathways, draft Patient Group Directions and protocol for the Pharmacy First service, and ahead of the launch of the service on 31st January 2024, we have produced some initial resources to support pharmacy owners and their teams to start to prepare for the service.

These checklists detail the actions pharmacy owners and pharmacists (including locums) can start to undertake to prepare to provide the Pharmacy First service, while waiting for further information and resources to be published. The pharmacist owner checklist also contains a list of important dates for the Pharmacy First service.
