Primary Care Access Recovery Plan negotiations

The negotiations around the £645 million investment pledged to community pharmacies as part of the Delivery plan for recovering access to primary care have been going on since the announcement of the plan in May. We know that pharmacy owners want to know about progress and it is critical that this money starts flowing to the sector as soon as possible.

Community Pharmacy England is bound by Government confidentiality protocols around negotiations, but we have today issued a short statement on the Recovery Plan and future CPCF negotiations.

Our Chief Executive Janet Morrison said:

“We have finished the substantive discussions on the recovery plan but detailed discussions about implementation are ongoing and we are awaiting final clearance from Government and the NHS. We hope that we will be in a position to make an announcement in the next few weeks and that negotiations on the CPCF from April 2024 will commence soon after that.”
