Reminder: changes to the Pharmacy First monthly threshold
The ability of pharmacy owners to achieve the thresholds for the monthly Pharmacy First payment has been an ongoing topic of concern for pharmacy owners and Community Pharmacy England since the service launched.
Following our representations to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England, amendments have been made on three occasions to limit the increase in the minimum monthly threshold, the most recent being to amend the thresholds across the rest of the rest of 2024/25 in light of the concerns we raised.

New Pharmacy First caps from January 2025
New Pharmacy First caps will be introduced from January 2025; these caps are based on the monthly average of Pharmacy First (clinical pathways) delivered during August 2024 to October 2024.
