Watch our Pharmacy First: Getting ready for launch webinar

Pharmacy owners and their teams can now watch an on-demand recording of Community Pharmacy England’s webinar, which provides practical guidance for preparing to launch the Pharmacy First service.

Held earlier this week, around 500 people tuned in to watch our ‘Pharmacy First: Getting ready for launch’ webinar. The final event in our series of webinars on changes to pharmacy services, this webinar focused on how to prepare for the service’s launch, building on the content of the December 2023 Pharmacy First webinar and providing additional practical information.

The event began with a refresher on the service’s requirements, an overview of the resources available, and an update on the development of digital systems to support the service. Attendees then heard from pharmacists who have provided similar locally commissioned PGD services and received practical tips on conducting consultations.

Speakers during the webinar included Alastair Buxton, Director of NHS Services at Community Pharmacy England, as well as clinical and digital policy colleagues from NHS England, representatives from the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE), and independent pharmacy owners. The speakers addressed frequently asked questions and issues that have arisen since the first webinar in December as well as responding to a large number of viewers’ questions live.

Anyone who was unable to attend the live event, or if you just want to re-watch, the recorded version is now available via the link below:
