Training
In order to offer the service, pharmacists must have:
- completed the CPPE Emergency Hormonal Contraception open learning program (2005); and
- attended the Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) organised EHC initial training session. If the pharmacist has attended a non-DMBC organised training session, a DMBC agreed declaration of competence must be completed and submitted.
To continue providing the service, all pharmacists providing the service are required to attend an EHC refresher training session every two years (evidence of refresher training will be required if training was not organised by DMBC).
