CPCF Negotiations Update: A message from our CEO
Community Pharmacy England CEO Janet Morrison has given a video update on the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) negotiations, addressing the prolonged pause that means the sector is still without an agreement for 2024/25.
In her video message, Janet addresses the continued delay in recommencing negotiations, describing the “severe frustration and intense anger” that the Government has yet to recommence negotiations whilst pharmacy businesses are teetering on the edge.
The focus of November’s Committee meeting was the stalled CPCF negotiations. Committee members were united in their anger about the delays, given how crippling the current underfunding is for pharmacy owners. Janet says that she has written to Ministers to express the strength of feeling from pharmacy owners across the county.
Janet goes on to say that Community Pharmacy England will continue to convey to Ministers the severity of the impact of waiting and the potential consequences, saying that we must release money urgently into the sector.
