Health Committee publishes all evidence submitted to pharmacy inquiry

The Health and Social Care Select Committee has now published the detailed response that we submitted to its Pharmacy Inquiry in June.

Our submission highlighted important themes such as the chronic underfunding of the sector, future service provision, challenges with the pharmacy workforce, and the wider current pressures in community pharmacy.

We also suggested potential service development options that community pharmacies could offer ahead of publication of the independent vision for community pharmacy.

Last week the committee published all the written evidence that the pharmacy inquiry has received from 52 different organisations including ours.

The inquiry provides another influential opportunity to raise the current unsustainable pressures as well as further building cross-party support for the long-term sustainability of the sector and we will continue to support it as it progresses.

Working with Select Committees is just one of the ways that Community Pharmacy England is working to influence community pharmacy policy and press for solutions to the current issues.
