Medicine Supply Notification: Mometasone (Asmanex Twisthaler®) 200micrograms/dose dry powder and 400micrograms/dose dry powder inhalers

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a medicine supply notification for the following products:

• Mometasone (Asmanex Twisthaler^®) 200micrograms/dose dry powder and 400micrograms/dose dry powder inhalers

Tier 2 – medium impact

Date of issue: 20/10/2025

• Mometasone (Asmanex Twisthaler^®) 200microgram/dose dry powder inhaler (60 dose) is being discontinued from late October 2025.
• Mometasone (Asmanex Twisthaler^®) 200microgram/dose dry powder inhaler (30 dose) and 400micrograms/dose dry powder inhaler (30 dose and 60 dose) are being discontinued from late February 2026.
• Alternative corticosteroid inhalers remain available (see Supporting Information)

A copy of this medicine supply notification, including actions required and supporting information, has been sent to all pharmacy NHS email addresses.

DHSC and NHSE/I have now launched an online Medicines Supply Tool, which provides up to date information about medicine supply issues. The contents of these MSNs can now be viewed on the Tool.

The Tool also details any changes to resupply dates and updates to the entries.
