Aims and objectives
Aims and intended service outcomes
- To provide additional opportunities to promote asymptomatic chlamydia testing in the
community in West Sussex. - To promote awareness and understanding of chlamydia infections, and safe sexual
practices, in line with recommendations by the West Sussex Sexual Health Needs
Assessment. - To promote integration of services and support integrated sexual health services by
providing alternative ways to access chlamydia treatment. - To increase outreach opportunities for individuals who are not accessing specialist sexual
health services.
Service description
Two elements will be provided as part of this service:
- Provision of chlamydia screening test packs
- Treatment for chlamydia. A Patient Group Direction (PGD) will be produced outlining
the agreed local requirements for this.
