Description
The pharmacy team will offer people under 25 years of age a chlamydia screening/testing and treatment service.
Chlamydia testing kits will also be supplied to contacts/partners of test positives, regardless of age.
Treatment of chlamydia is in line with the agreed Patient Group Directive (PGD) for azithromycin or doxycycline.
The pharmacy team will also provide support and advice to service user including advice on safer sex and the use of regular contraceptive methods with signposting to other sexual health services when required.

Training
The pharmacy named lead and key pharmacy staff shall attend training as required by the Telford & Wrekin Council and be responsible for cascading information and training to other staff members (including locum pharmacists) involved in the provision of this contract agreement.
Attendance at the CPPE Chlamydia Screening Treatment Public Health Workshop is also required.
