Description
Please note this service was commissioned across Arden and Worcester. Therefore, the following LPCs had the same NHS Community Pharmacy Emergency Supply Service in their areas:
- Coventry LPC
- Warwickshire LPC
- Worcestershire LPC - now part of Herefordshire & Worcestershire LPC
The service has only been added onto the Services Database under this entry to avoid duplication.
Only patients referred by NHS 111 will be entitled to the service.
The pharmacist may supply prescription-only medicines (POMs) to a patient (who has previously been prescribed the requested POM) without a prescription at the request of the patient provided the conditions of the Regulations 2012:

This service does not extend existing or infer new powers of supply: that is to say if you could not make the supply under the regulations you cannot make the supply under this service.
This service will be available to all patients registered with a GP within the UK.
The service ran as a pilot from the 1st April 2015 for eight weeks.
