Description
This sets out a Service Specification for a Community Pharmacy Hepatitis B (HBV) vaccination.
Community Pharmacies are ideally placed to improve access to HBV vaccination and other relevant
information on harm reduction and Blood Borne Virus (BBV) infection, especially among at risk groups. They
can also signpost to other relevant BBV and substance misuse services and facilitate increases in the number
of people who use substances completing HBV vaccination programme by Pharmacies working both in
partnership with Humankind and as a standalone service where appropriate.
