Description
The aim of the programme is to support all levels of the pharmacy workforce to enable them to develop their pharmacies into dementia friendly environments with an action plan to support this aim.
The programme will also raise knowledge and awareness of the disease and equip staff with the skills and behaviours to be able to conduct assessments and early identification with onward referral.
The Dementia Friendly pharmacy programme and all training are funded by Health Education England.
The Alzheimer’s Society provides free training at all events.

Training
The following training programmes can be undertaken:
- tier 1 dementia training;
- awareness training;
- CPPE focal point - dementia;
- qualifications and curriculum framework level 2 dementia; and
- various open access resources as outlined in the training scope.
