Description
The aim of this service is to provide emergency hormonal contraception to female clients, aged 13 years and over, who present in person at the pharmacy and wish to prevent an unplanned pregnancy following unprotected sexual intercourse as defined in the Patient Group Direction (PGD).
Two PGDs are in use for this service: levonorgestrel and ulipristal acetate.
