Description
This service aims to deliver high-quality, safe, sustainable and appropriate Point of Care Testing (PoCT) for hepatitis C within community pharmacies providing needle and syringe programme (NSP), specifically for pharmacies who have been selected to participate in the pilot and have attended the relevant training for providing the service, to increase the uptake of hepatitis C testing amongst high risk groups and reduce the number of people with undiagnosed HCV infection.
In order to encourage participation in the pilot, contingency management in the form of a £5 voucher will be issued to all patients who complete a test and receive their results.
