Service objectives:
• preventing worsening health for people with long-term health conditions,
• reducing the number and intensity of costly interventions in urgent planned or specialist care.
• Offering a specific Healthy Lives intervention to support self-management in people with joint pain
aged 45years and over affecting hand, hip, knee or foot.

Training
In order to deliver the service, the pharmacist must have completed the Joint Pain in Pharmacy on- line training from Keele University - https://jigsaw-e.com/courses/joint-pain-in-pharmacy-jpip/
In addition, nominated Healthy Living Champions can also undertake the same online training and deliver the service in those pharmacies that have been commissioned to do so. Evidence of completion of the Healthy Living Champion RSPH Level 2 training will be required.
