Training
As stated in the last briefing, face to face training is only necessary this year for new vaccinators or who did not provide the service last year. All previous providers of the service need to have completed just an online update on vaccinations, immunisations and anaphylaxis. In addition, all providers will need to complete the DOC self-assessment for vaccinations if necessary this year (every two years) (https://www.cppe.ac.uk/services/declaration-of-competence#navTop). Every pharmacist intending to vaccinate, must read, sign and get a counter signature of the manager on the PGD, undertaking to work to that PGD, and ensuring they and their support team are completely familiar with the vaccine variants to be used for the different age groups.
