Description
The aim of the service is to improve access for people to these specialist medicines when they are required by ensuring prompt access and continuity of supply.
The pharmacy holds the entire list of medicines (specified in Appendix A) required to deliver this service at all times and will dispense these in response to NHS prescriptions presented, making a commitment to ensure that users of this service have prompt access to these medicines. Community teams will be able to access these drugs during the pharmacies’ normal opening hours. (NB. This arrangement does not cover access to medicines outside of contracted hours.)
